Mentor Public Schools drew attention from hundreds of school board members from across the country in April as one of the national site visits of the National School Boards Association.
​Mentor showcased is blended learning initiatives at several schools, including Ridge Middle School and the Catalyst Research and Development Classroom. At Mentor High School, visitors got to see The Hub, a next generation media center. Visitors also toured the Paradigm Professional Development Center, which is under construction.

Kevin Snyder, Director of Educational Technology Services for the Lancaster City Schools, writes in the Lancaster Eagle-Gazette that teachers in his district are demanding blended learning since Lancaster provided the tools and skills in school buildings. In his op-ed, he indicated that the district has hope that the Ohio Blended Learning Network will be able to help it meet that demand.
Reynoldsburg City Schools has been selected by The Learning Accelerator (TLA) to be the non-profit's first full district-wide implementation of high-quality blended learning. TLA, based in California, is committed to creating national models of high-quality blended learning.
Mentor Public Schools and Reynoldsburg City Schools joined more than 100 school districts across the country at the White House to respond to a call from President Obama for leaders of exemplary public schools to demonstrate effective use of technology.

Stepstone Academy was awarded the prestigious Anisfield-Wolf Memorial Award given to "a community organization that performed outstanding service during the previous 12 months, service that goes beyond normal and expected activity."
"The success of Stepstone Academy's first year carried over into the 2013-14 school year, with 80 percent of students returning to the school in August 2013," he said. "Stepstone Academy is well on its way to having a transformational impact on the lives of students, parents, and the Central (Cleveland) neighborhood," said Robert Eckardt of the Cleveland Foundation.
